Josh Blum Josh Blum is a 14-year student and educator of the Fire Service in the Hamilton County, Ohio area. Currently Josh works for the Sycamore Township Fire Department where he is a Lieutenant assigned to Ladder 92. He is also the training coordinator and lead instructor for all the STFD training initiatives. He is a member of the Ohio Federal response team OHTF-1 and the Hamilton County USAR team. Josh teaches at many of the area fire department and has an incredible grasp of and ability to explain the intricacies of many different subject matters. These range from fire ground operations, ladder techniques, engine operations, high-rise ops and technical rescue operations. Josh is an Instructor across the county a well as for Bowling Green State University’s State Fire School and Cincinnati State technical college.
Mike Kirby Mike Kirby has been associated with the fire service for 16 years. He has been a volunteer, part-time and career fire fighter at various locations throughout his career. Mike is currently a Captain for the Cincinnati Fire Department assigned to Engine Company 3. Mike has experience teaching various courses for other fire departments and at local colleges and technical schools. Mike spent 2 years teaching recruit and incumbent fire fighters at the Cincinnati Fire Department training academy. Grant Light Grant Light is a 30-year veteran of the Fire Service, the last 13 with the Cincinnati Fire Department. He is currently assigned as a Lieutenant on the Heavy Rescues and as an instructor with the training division. Grant is also a Rescue Team Manager with the Ohio Federal response team OHTF-1, and is a founding member and Rescue Team Manager of the Hamilton County USAR team. He teaches several different subject matters from Fire Ground operations, rapid intervention, flashover and Technical Rescue. Grant is also an Instructor with Bowling Green State University’s State Fire School and Cincinnati State Technical College
Thomas Lakamp Tom Lakamp is a District Chief and 19 year veteran of the Cincinnati (OH) Fire Department. Tom has served in volunteer, combination and career departments for over 20 years in the fire service in Hamilton County. Tom holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati Fire Science Program where he is an adjunct instructor. Tom also serves with Ohio Task Force One – U.S.A.R. and the Hamilton County USAR Task Force.
Danny James Danny James has been in the fire service for 15 years in the Hamilton County Ohio area. Currently Danny is a Captain assigned to Ladder 42 for the Forest Park Fire Department. Danny teaches several different subject matters from Fire Ground operations to Rescue Operations. Danny is an Instructor for Bowling Green State University and Butler Tech Fire School.
