You can make a simple addition to your tool cadre by making a device to hold locks or chains you may be cutting or to hold and control a door you are forcing into a fire area. By using a good quality pair of vice grips you can remove the adjustment bolt and insert an eye bolt of the same diameter. From there you can use a short section of 8mm rope or even a lightweight chain to the eye bolt. Viola, you have a useful tool for holding small objects while cutting or to control a door.
